Finding affordable, good quality gym gear is always a challenge. I find that cheaper materials often aren’t as durable and stretch out over time no matter how carefully I wash them. Specifically when it comes to finding leggings, it can be very frustrating to find a staple pair that won’t break the bank to purchase. For someone who works out five times a week, I don’t want to drop $100 on one pair of leggings otherwise I will have to wear them every single trip to the gym. A brand that I’ve found has able to maintain good quality at reasonable prices is Gymshark. I already own a few pairs of leggings from Gymshark (flex, and sculpture) but have wanted to get a few more. I decided to try out the Dreamy and Seamless leggings during the blackout sales last week.
I am normally a size 4/5/6 or small, and am 5’6”.
I wore a small in the flex and sculpture but found them but ordered XS in the dreamy and seamless for a more sculpted fit and am very glad I did
Dreamy Leggings (black)
Wowee-wow! I love these leggings. The material is thick and sturdy and soft, but still breathable and comfortable during an intense workout. The quality is far superior to my older Gymshark leggings, it really seems like they are stepping up their game on that front. These leggings really sculpt and flatter your legs without leaving them feeling restricted. That being said if you are a fan of the ‘barely there’ legging feel, these are not for you. While they are not advertised as high waisted, these still can easily be hiked up if you prefer that look. BONUS! They are beyond squat proof – not a hint of skin peeks through.
High Waisted Seamless Leggings (black marl)
Now these leggings are awesome for those of you who pretty much want to feel like your leggings are a second skin. The seamless leggings are a thinner material than the dreamy leggings, but still give your legs that sculpted look. Like the flex leggings, they have strategically placed lines to contour your legs and butt. However, the contour is much less of a statement on the seamless as compared to the flex which I definitely prefer. These are SUPER high waisted and have a 7/8 fit as opposed to full length (which I love). The only negative to these leggings are that they do not pass the squat test – but they would be awesome for an upper body / core / cardio day.
Overall the dreamy and seamless are very different leggings, but I love them both! I highly recommend giving gym shark a try if you haven’t already. Their more popular items tend to go out of stock pretty often, but you can always sign up to be notified by email when something comes back!
