Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil Review

As the winter season starts rolling in, the cold, dry air starts to take a toll on my skin. My skin is normally oily, but the cold weather still sucks all the moisture out of it. In preparation for the dropping temperatures, I was on the hunt to incorporate another moisturizing step into my skincare routine. I stumbled across Biossance on my Instagram feed when they were offering free samples of their Squalane Oil line for only the price of shipping. I love using oils on my skin, so I decided to give this brand a shot.

Biossance advertises a pioneering 100% plant-based method of generating squalane. The deal includes a 100% squalane oil sample and a Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil sample. I have been primarily using the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil vile, but have used the 100% Squalane sample a few times as well.

Why Squalane?

  • Moisturizing (non-greasy, sinks in super quickly!)
  • Good for sensitive skin
  • Helps regulate excess oil production
  • Soothing
  • Antibacterial

Why Vitamin C Rose Oil?

  • Brightening
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Overall, the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil has left my skin feeling hydrated and plumped, reduced my redness, combated any acne, and generally left me with that ‘glow from within’ look. After months of struggling with irritated, red, poor textured skin and sporadic breakouts, I really feel like this oil was a saving grace product for me. I use it every night without fail, and am sadly almost done with my sample vile. (a little does go a long way though!) The oil comes with a pretty hefty price tag, but with the holiday season coming up it could make a good wish list item!

This post is not sponsored, but I highly recommend checking out this brand! They are currently having cyber week deals with up to 50% off some products.

All the best,

Caroline Lee
